Our ethos
At Northumbria Deer Services, our passion is to provide professional training and hunting experiences for individuals and groups wishing to further their deer knowledge, fieldcraft and marksmanship ability. Whether its your first time, or your 20th year, we ensure that all our clients who come to us for a single outing, or several days, have a trip to remember in one of the most beautiful settings in the Northumbrian countryside.
About Us
Josh has been involved in deer management professionally since 2017. After almost 10 years in the British Army as a Sniper, then later, with a passion for rifle shooting, qualifying as a Small Arms Instructor, Josh decided to move to the Scottish Highland as a trainee game keeper/stalker.
Josh quickly established himself as a very capable stalker, becoming a contracted stalker to FLS and other private estates in 2018. Since then he has personally culled near 3000 deer and has guided clients on to several hundred more.
With family ties in Northumberland, Josh now resides near Alnwick, where he runs Northumbria Deer Services. Providing all types of training, guided roe stalking and seasonally, working as a professional deer stalker on a traditional West Highland estate.
Additional Services
For those landowners and estates with a specified over population of deer. We provide services that include deer counts and cull plans to ensure that your agricultural and forestry assets are protected from damage. This also includes deer parks that may require population assessment and control measures in order to protect the herd.
